Khadijah Mellah is a British jockey. At just 18 years old in 2019 she was the first hijab-wearing jockey in a competitive British horse race. Despite her being wholly new to horse-racing, incredibly she won the Magnolia Cup on her horse Haverland. She became an instant inspiration to British female Muslims.
